Reservation & Cancellation Policy

As Drake Bay Greenleaf is a small and exclusive property, we require at least 60 days’ notice prior to arrival for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations received fewer than 60 days before arrival are non-refundable.

No-show reservations will not receive a refund. Likewise, no refunds will be issued for unused portions of reservations, tours, transportation services, or local charter flights.

In the event of a natural disaster — such as an earthquake, hurricane, or similar unforeseen circumstance — all deposits and payments will be applied as credit toward a future stay. No refunds will be issued in such cases; credit only.

Families, Children & Additional Guests

Families and children are welcome at Drake Bay Greenleaf. Our rooms are designed for double occupancy; however, additional guests may be accommodated depending on room availability and configuration.

An extra bed may be added to a room for an additional charge of $50 per night. For reservations with more than two guests, additional charges will apply based on the number of guests and room arrangement.

Tour Cancellation Policy

Tours canceled 30 or more days before the scheduled date incur a fee of $50 per person. Tours canceled fewer than 30 days in advance are non-refundable and must be paid in full.

Pets

We regret that pets are not permitted on the property.

Corkage Fee

Guests who wish to bring wine or beverages from their personal collection will be charged a corkage fee of $10 per bottle.

Payment Policy

  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
  • The remaining balance is due 60 days before the arrival date.
  • All reservations must be paid in full prior to arrival.
  • Walk-in reservations may be accepted based on availability.
  • Payments are processed through the WeTravel platform, where most major credit and debit cards are accepted.
  • Payments may also be made via PayPal; however, guests are responsible for any applicable PayPal processing fees.
  • All rates include the 13% Costa Rican tax (IVA).

Transportation

Transportation from Sierpe or the local airstrip to the hotel is included only in packages that specifically include transportation services. Room-only reservations do not include transportation.

Additional Information

Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included in room rates and are available for purchase at the bar.

Costa Rican law prohibits smoking indoors and in common areas. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

Cancellations and No Shows

Since Drake Bay Greenleaf is a small exclusive hotel, we require notice of cancellation of at least 60 days in advance for a full refund. If the cancellation is received in less than 60 days, the deposit cannot be reimbursed.
Reservations that are a No Show will not receive a refund, nor will parties that do not use the full reservation, tour bookings, or local charter flights. Etc.

In the event of a natural disaster such as an earthquake or hurricane, any deposits or payments will be applied to a booking at a future date. There are no refunds for natural disasters. Credit only.

Families are welcome at Drake Bay Greenleaf! Please contact us to determine pricing for additional beds and dining for children under 12.

Canceled tours have a fee of $50 per person if they are canceled a month before and if canceled less than a month you have to pay the entire tour.

Pets
We are sorry, however pets are not permitted.60

Corkage Fee

If you would like to bring something from your private collection, our corkage fee is $10 per bottle.

All bookings must be paid in full prior to your arrival. 50% deposit is due at the time of booking and the final payment is due 60 days prior to the arrival date.
We do accept walk in reservations depending on room availability.
Payment is accepted by credit card through PayPal, in US dollars. Exchange rates and fees are subject to change. Travelers Cheques are not accepted.
Rates do not include 13% Costa Rican tax.
We can add extra beds; please contact us first to confirm availability.
Our Rates do not include alcoholic beverages or soft drinks. These are available for purchase at the bar.

Costa Rican law does not allow smoking in rooms and common areas. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
All transfers to and from airport are included in our Rates.
Our check-in time is at 1:00PM and our check-out time is at 10:00AM.
